These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a contract between you (“you”, “Customer”) and Ben Lev (sole trader), trading as SIGNAL, for use of the SIGNAL software service. By creating an account, starting a trial, or using SIGNAL, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy and Cookie Notice.
If you use SIGNAL on behalf of a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that company.
1. The service
SIGNAL is a B2B SaaS AI personal-branding assistant for SaaS founders. It helps you capture work evidence, shape voice and strategy, draft posts, and approve content before publishing. Features may include workspaces, connected accounts, AI chat/drafting, approvals, analytics summaries, and billing entitlements. We may add, change, or remove features with reasonable notice where practicable.
SIGNAL is provided as software hosted on the Base44 platform. Availability depends on that platform and third-party providers (AI models, OAuth providers, Paddle).
2. Accounts
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep credentials confidential.
- You are responsible for activity under your account.
- You must be at least 16 (or the age of digital consent in your country) and using SIGNAL for business / professional purposes.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts for security risk, non-payment, or material breach of these Terms.
Team invitations and multi-seat collaboration may be limited or deferred; workspace membership rules apply as implemented in-product.
3. Subscriptions, trial, and pricing
3.1 Plans
SIGNAL is sold by monthly subscription. Current plan names and list prices (USD, shown on the pricing page; subject to tax where applicable):
| Plan | Monthly price |
|---|---|
| Builder | USD $79.99 |
| Founder | USD $179.99 |
| Studio | USD $449.99 |
Prices are displayed on the SIGNAL pricing page and in checkout. We may change prices with notice; changes apply to subsequent renewal periods as permitted by law and Paddle’s processes. Usage limits (messages, tasks, posts, connections) appear on the pricing page / plan definition and may be enforced in-product.
3.2 Free trial (card required)
Each new paid subscription may include a 7-day free trial that requires a payment method on file. If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be charged for that subscription. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the subscription auto-renews and your payment method is charged the then-current plan price for the monthly period, and thereafter on each renewal until cancelled.
3.3 Auto-renewal and cancellation
Subscriptions automatically renew monthly until you cancel. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period (or end of the trial, if still trialing), and you keep access until then. After a paid period is billed, that period is generally non-refundable except where required by applicable consumer law — see our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
3.4 Merchant of Record (required disclosure)
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides customer service inquiries related to purchases and handles returns/refunds according to the applicable refund rules.
When you purchase or start a trial, you also agree to Paddle’s Buyer Terms and related Paddle policies for the payment relationship. Taxes, invoices, payment methods, dunning, and payouts are handled through Paddle.
Commercial billing mechanics may be governed by Paddle’s buyer terms in addition to these Terms.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use SIGNAL for unlawful purposes, fraud, spam, or deceptive practices.
- Infringe intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights.
- Upload malware, probe/scan our systems without authorization, scrape the service at scale, or interfere with security.
- Attempt to bypass entitlements, rate limits, or paywalls.
- Misuse generative AI features to create illegal content, non-consensual intimate imagery or deepfakes, hate/harassment, malware, doxxing, or to jailbreak models for prohibited ends.
- Submit personal data of others without a lawful basis, or special-category data unless strictly necessary and lawful.
- Resell or provide the service to third parties as a bureau without our written consent.
We may remove content, disconnect integrations, or suspend accounts for violations.
5. Your content and AI outputs
5.1 Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit (company info, memories, drafts you write, connected-account data you authorize, etc.) (“Customer Content”). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, process, transmit, and display Customer Content solely to provide and improve SIGNAL for you (including sending necessary context to AI subprocessors).
5.2 AI outputs
Subject to third-party rights and model-provider terms, you own the drafts and other outputs generated for your workspace, and we assign to you any rights we may have in those outputs. You are responsible for reviewing outputs before publishing. Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or non-original; they are not legal, financial, medical, or other regulated professional advice.
5.3 Our IP
SIGNAL software, branding, playbooks, UI, and documentation remain owned by Ben Lev / SIGNAL and licensors. We grant you a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive right to access the service during an active trial or paid subscription.
5.4 Feedback
You may send feedback; we may use it without obligation to you.
5.5 Takedown
If you believe content on SIGNAL infringes your rights, email benbarlev.business@gmail.com with details. We may remove or disable access to disputed material.
6. Third-party services
Connected accounts (LinkedIn, GitHub, Notion, etc.) and AI providers are third-party services. Their terms and privacy policies apply. We are not responsible for third-party outages, API changes, or data once it leaves SIGNAL under your instruction (e.g. when you publish to LinkedIn).
7. Disclaimers
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SIGNAL IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”. WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE SERVICE, OR THAT AI OUTPUTS WILL BE ACCURATE OR FIT FOR PUBLICATION WITHOUT YOUR REVIEW.
8. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (including fraud, or death/personal injury caused by negligence where such rules apply).
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profits damages, or loss of data/goodwill, arising from use of SIGNAL or AI outputs.
- Our total aggregate liability arising out of these Terms or the service is limited to the fees you paid to Paddle for SIGNAL in the three (3) months before the claim (or USD $100 if you are on a free trial and have paid nothing).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases our liability is limited to the minimum permitted.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, non-payment / failed renewal after retries, security or fraud risk, or repeated violations. You may stop using SIGNAL and cancel via Paddle’s customer portal or as described in the Refund & Cancellation Policy. On termination, your licence ends; we may delete or anonymize workspace data after a reasonable period, subject to legal retention and our Privacy Policy.
10. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy and Cookie Notice explain how we process personal data. By using SIGNAL you acknowledge those documents.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms by posting a new version with an updated date. Material changes will be notified by email or in-product notice where practicable. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance, except where mandatory law requires express consent.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Israel, without regard to conflict-of-law rules that would require another jurisdiction’s law. Exclusive jurisdiction and venue lie with the competent courts of Israel, except that:
- Mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence (if you qualify as a consumer) remain available; and
- For EU/UK consumers, nothing limits non-waivable rights under applicable consumer law.
Privacy matters may also engage the Israeli Privacy Protection Law and, for EU/UK personal data, the GDPR / UK GDPR as described in the Privacy Policy.
